Indigenous Women in Sport Gathering

With support from the Canadian Parks and Recreation Association, The Genevieve Francis Memorial Fund was thrilled to host its first Indigenous Women in Sport Gathering on April 14th, 2024. The afternoon included inspiring conversation and community building for Indigenous women & girls with a passion for sport. Keynote panelists included PWHL Toronto's Victoria Bach, 2023 Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame inductee Sara-Lynne Knockwood, and the inaugural recipients of the Nikanus Red Dress Leadership Award.
