2024 Indigenous Girls Hockey Jamboree

On Saturday, September 21st, join Mi’kmaw Kina’matnewey, the Genevieve Francis Memorial Fund, and PWHL Toronto’s Victoria Bach at the RBC Centre (259 Commodore Dr., Dartmouth) for a fun morning of cultural activities and on-ice development, aimed to celebrate Indigenous women and girls in hockey. Registration is free and open to Indigenous girls age 6-14.

2023 Indigenous Girls Hockey Jamborees

With support from ParticipACTION, The Genevieve Francis Memorial Fund was thrilled to partner with the Canadian Sport Institute Atlantic to host the 2023 Indigenous Girls Hockey Jamborees! Taking place across Atlantic Canada (Fredericton, NB; Charlottetown, PE; Truro, NS; & Nain, NL), these full day events aimed to celebrate Indigenous women and girls in hockey and featured on-ice session, cultural activities, and participation by national team member Victoria Bach in select locations.

Victoria Bach, a member of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte First Nation, is a 3 time world champion (2014, 2021, & 2022), a Boston University alumni (NCAA D1), and current member of the Professional Women's Hockey Players Association.
