2025/26 Indigenous Girls Hockey Jamborees

On Saturday, May 30th, 2026 join the Genevieve Francis Memorial Fund, Mi'kmaw Native Friendship Centre and others at The Dauphinee Centre (934 Tower Road, Halifax) for a day of cultural activities and on-ice development, aimed to celebrate Indigenous women and girls in hockey. Registration is free and open to Indigenous girls age 6-14.​

2024/25 Indigenous Girls Hockey Jamborees

Working with Mi'kmaw Kina'matnewey, we hosted  two jamborees, one in Dartmouth in September 2024 with Victoria Bach and one in Eskasoni in February 2025 with Sydney Daniels. 

2023/2024 Indigenous Girls Hockey Jamborees

With support from ParticipACTION, The Genevieve Francis Memorial Fund was thrilled to partner with the Canadian Sport Institute Atlantic to host the 2023 Indigenous Girls Hockey Jamborees! Taking place across Atlantic Canada (Fredericton, NB; Charlottetown, PE; Truro, NS; & Nain, NL), these full day events aimed to celebrate Indigenous women and girls in hockey and featured on-ice session, cultural activities, and participation by national team member Victoria Bach in select locations.

Victoria Bach, a member of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte First Nation, is a 3 time world champion (2014, 2021, & 2022), a Boston University alumni (NCAA D1), and former member of the PWHL (Toronto, Ottawa)
